సందెపొద్దుల కాడ - Setting Sun

అందుకోండే అప్పా
అందుకోండే సందె పొద్దుని
మన తోటలో దాచేద్దామీ పొద్దుని
రేపింకో పొద్దు తూరుపున
తెలుతుందేమో చూద్దామే అప్పా

Grab him, the Setting Sun.
Winners get to keep him for fun.
If new sun shall rise on the morrow.
A new winner grabs him tomorrow.

ఈ దడి ఏ కడకు పోతుందో
దానవతలేమున్నదో,
తేల్చుకుందామని బయల్దేరింది
ఊళ్ళోకి కొత్తగా వచ్చిన పుంత

చిరు అడవిలో ఏకాంతాన
తన గుండెలోనికొక తడిక
తెఱిచిందో లేదో మఱి ఆమె..


A curious trail, new in town, set out
To break into the heart of a fence
In the woods, in a solitary spot
